In November, 1987, Winnie Brown was killed north of Ashland, Montana by a masked gunman. His death was the culmination of an elaborate and wicked conspiracy to silence the young man. A story of sex, racism and violence, this crime was described at the time as "one of the blackest crimes to ever disgrace Eastern Montana."

Regina Geddes, pictured here, was part of a conspiracy to murder Winnie Brown. She wanted him dead because his gossiping about her sexual habits subsequently threatened a large inheritance
